Robert Mueller was a Marine officer in Vietnam - wounded in combat, Bronze Star, Purple Heart. He spent the decades that followed in federal law enforcement, and served as FBI Director with a steadiness that even his critics acknowledged. His integrity was not in dispute.
When news of his death broke, Trump responded on Truth Social:
“Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people.”
That is cruelty for its own sake, directed at a veteran who bled for his country. It required no political calculation. It was simply what Trump chose to say.
What followed was, in its own way, just as revealing: silence.
Not one member of congressional Republican leadership condemned the words. Not one senator, not one House leader, not one governor with national ambitions offered even a mild objection. A few Republicans with some distance from the current party - former RNC chair Michael Steele among them - spoke up. They stood out precisely because they were exceptions.
Adam Kinzinger, whose recap of Mueller’s service and appeal to Republicans to condemn Trump’s words is worth reading in full, noted the absence. He was right to note it.
The party that once organized itself around reverence for military service had nothing to say when a former president mocked the death of a Marine who bled for his country.
Silence is a choice. It tells us what the party now rewards - and what it fears. That cruelty toward a veteran is not a red line. That the cost of crossing Trump outweighs the cost of abandoning the values they once claimed to hold.
Mueller’s life deserves better. The silence that followed his death is its own statement - not of respect, but of permission.

Shameless too!
Many Republican Congressmen and Senators are pussies not telling Trump to shut the F up. Trump is the biggest paper chicken shit of all time… not to mention one of the dumbest people on Earth!… this is not opinion.. these are TRUTHS for the Truth Social morons!
