As our readers know, we focus on the quislings - not the commander in chief. So this will be short.
Last night, hours after insulting the Pope, Trump posted this image with no comment.
The president shared a depiction of himself as a divine healer, draped in holy light, while followers kneel in worship. He posted his own apotheosis.
We’re waiting for the quislings in Congress and the administration to call this out.
Imagine if Obama had posted this. Or Biden.
At best, it shows a person with no impulse control.
At worst, well, it’s a lot worse.

As of today - tax day - while conservative writers and even some of the President’s own media allies have called this 'outrageous blasphemy,' the halls of Congress remain quiet. Aside from a lone Representative from Washington and a terse acknowledgment from an Idaho Senator that deleting it was 'appropriate,' the quislings have decided that their faith is second to their fear.
An interview with CBS news:
“I viewed that as a picture of me being a doctor in fixing — you had the Red Cross right there, you had, you know, medical people surrounding me,” Mr. Trump said in that interview. “And I was like the doctor, you know, as a little fun playing the doctor and making people better. So that’s what it was viewed as. That’s what most people thought.”
Most people?
Vance said that the president “was posting a joke.”
Hilarious!
